Liquid helium
HELIUM (He) is a chemical element and belongs to the group of precious gases. It is the second after hydrogen most widespread chemical element in the universe. However on the Earth it can be found solely in limited supply.
Helium is received from the natural gas resources rich in helium. On the industrial scale liquid helium is extracted in the United States, Russia, Algeria, Qatar and Poland.
Usage of liquid helium:
- Cooling the magnetic resonances down
- Scientific research in low temperatures
